For equipment exposed to washdown, dust, or outdoor weather, sealed cable assemblies integrate Waterproof Connector interfaces with matching cable glands or overmolded transitions. These assemblies can be tested to IP67 or IP68 criteria depending on the selected components and customer specifications. The junction between cable and connector is a common ingress point, so REUNION verifies seal compression and performs leak tests on sealed configurations before shipment.
Finished cable assemblies undergo continuity, insulation resistance, and dielectric strength checks according to the applicable product specification. Production lots are recorded in the ERP system, linking raw cable material, connector batches, and test results into a single traceable record. Customers should provide the connector series, pin count, cable type and gauge, overall length, termination method, and any environmental requirements such as IP rating or temperature range. Yes. Overmolding is performed in-house, allowing custom cable lengths, jacket materials, and strain relief shapes to be produced without outsourcing. Finished assemblies are tested for electrical continuity and seal performance before leaving the factory.
