Torque: 1.0 – 1.2 Nm (final tightening after hand-seating).
Below 0.8Nm: The O-ring compression is insufficient – IP67 drops to IP54 (dust-protected but not watertight). We have seen water ingress within 2 hours at 0.5m depth in our lab tests.
Above 1.5Nm: The fluorosilicone O-ring extrudes into the thread clearance, causing permanent deformation and increased mating force. The seal may initially pass IP67 but will fail after thermal cycling (expansion/contraction).
